Prerequisite: completed the Managing Powerful Emotions course.

People Skills and Mindfulness are two skills-based courses that are structured to help individuals learn to live in the present moment, build awareness, and allow the experience of emotions and physiological reactions to come and go. 

This virtual program can help you with learning basic skills that can benefit your day-to day life. The goals of the program are to:

  1. raise your awareness of internal and external responses and occurrences,
  2. increase your threshold of accepting and enduring painful emotions,
  3. decrease your use of ineffective avoidance coping mechanisms, including self-destructive behaviours, and
  4. learn effective ways to communicate.

Join us for these two courses – running on Thursdays from 2 – 4 pm
for 12 weeks: January 18 to April 4, 2024.
