Bumps, Babies & Balance

A FREE 6 week program for people who would like to learn about nutrition, mental health and exercise considerations for the pre- and postnatal periods
~ offered in-person and virtually ~
This NEW group will launch on Tuesday, September 16, 2025
Pregnancy can be such an exciting time of our lives as we prepare to enter the chapter of parenthood. Being well prepared with healthy habits for our diet, mind and bodies can help both the prenatal and postnatal periods go as smoothly as possible.
This program will be facilitated by a fabulous trio from our allied health team, including our Registered Dietitian, Registered Psychotherapist (qualifying) and Registered Kinesiologist.
NUTRITION
2/6 sessions will focus on prenatal and postpartum nutrition. Topics will include nutrition and fertility, foods to avoid/limit during pregnancy, key baby building nutrients as well as nutrition for recovery and lactation. Simple, balanced meal ideas will be provided as well as information on other community supports.
MENTAL HEALTH
2/6 sessions will support mothers in the pre- and postnatal period by providing education on postpartum depression, stress management, emotional resilience, and self-care strategies. Sessions include brief presentations, group discussions, and practical tools/resources to support mental wellness.
EXERCISE
2/6 sessions will provide evidence-based guidance on safe and effective exercise during and after pregnancy. Practical advice supporting physical well-being will include how to reduce common complications (gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, and postpartum depression) and to recover smoothly and return to activity after birth.
This NEW group will start on September 16, 2025
It runs on Tuesdays from 12:00 – 1:00 pm for 6 consecutive weeks
